We are proud to announce the official launch of a new Funder Portal in Terraware, our forest restoration management platform. Designed specifically for project funders who support Terraformation’s forest restoration projects – this portal offers transparent, reliable insights into how projects are performing over time.
Funders value trustworthy data that shows that their investment is leading to measurable impacts. Regular performance reports help funders track progress against each project's key targets. These reports are accessible through their Terraware account and include metrics across financial, ecological, and social dimensions. Examples of what funders can view include:
As our planting, monitoring, and evaluation work expands, we expect to refine and add to the metrics we report in order to provide an even clearer picture of project impact and long-term progress.
Most reporting tools focus on a single outcome: how many trees were planted or how many hectares were restored. Our Funder Portal goes far beyond that. It offers a window into every stage of the restoration process, providing early and meaningful insights that help funders understand not just what is being planted, but how restoration is unfolding on the ground.
Through the portal, funders will gain access to:
This level of transparency allows funders to follow along as active partners, building a deeper understanding of operational performance and overall project health, and easily passing along relevant metrics, updates, and visuals to their stakeholders.
No. The portal is designed specifically for funding partners who support Terraformation’s restoration projects. Each partner receives a secure login and automatic notifications when new reports are available.
In the early stages of a project, when tracking and monitoring are most critical, we plan to provide quarterly updates aligned with planting progress. Because planting schedules vary throughout the year based on local conditions (such as rainy versus dry seasons), reporting timelines may not always follow an exact fiscal quarterly cadence.
Some of our projects are still in the design phase. Once planting is underway and full funding is secured, we’ll begin publishing progress through the Funder Portal.
Yes. Funders who support more than one project can view their full portfolio through the Funder Portal.
Funders have access to a comprehensive dashboard similar to the one used by project teams, allowing for the highest level of transparency and detailed insights into the project.
We are continually refining our reporting, metrics, and access to project data to provide the most transparent, accountable, and collaborative tool in forest restoration. We regularly solicit feedback from our partners and funders, which we will work to incorporate into our portal as appropriate.
